What an amazing event we had last night. The family night included math games, literacy activities, crafts, and a book swap. The art show was spectacular. It was an amazing presentation of the students' art work. Thank you to Sarah Culler and Jennifer Workman for organizing the event. Thank you to the teachers who set up tables and a great big thank you to the parents and students who attended.

The junior high baseball tournament game that was scheduled for today, Monday, May 13th has been rescheduled for Wednesday, May 15th at 4:30. Third base is currently covered with water. Thank you!

Track will be at Pueblo West tomorrow, May 10th starting @ 1:00. We want to spotlight our seniors that are on the track team this year as they go into their last track meet for the season. Our seniors are Lincoln, Ashley, Holly, Brecken, Jaimey, and Sarah. Go Big Green!
Baseball Today
Sanford School District will be holding a Potato Bar and Silent Auction to help the two families in our community who have recently had tragedy strike. The Potato Bar and Silent Auction will be held on Tuesday, May 14th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Academic and Athletic Awards will be held at 7:00 p.m. An invitation previously sent asked parents attending Awards Night to bring a side dish, because of the potato bar, that is no longer necessary.
We’ve started a PBJ island at school to help our HS/Jr High students make it through the afternoons. If anyone would like to donate peanut butter and jelly, it would really be appreciated.
Monday, May 6th @ 7 pm - Please RSVP for this wonderful evening if you haven’t yet. We will be able to hear from Tami Valentine as she presents on how social media and technology impact students’ mental health. Congratulations to our very own Kyle Canty for being Sanford Schools educator of the year. We had a great night celebrating with him at the SLV educator banquet last night. Thank you, Mr. Canty, for all that you do for our district! We are so lucky to have you.

Books, books. Does anyone have any books? Sanford Elementary will be hosting a family night in May. We will be having a book swap so the students can get some new books for their summer reading. If you have any books you would like to donate, we would greatly appreciate them. Please drop them off in the front office and mark your calendars for May 13th @ 6:30 for Family Night. More details to come.
Registration is still open for Preschool and Kindergarten students. Help us spread the word. Preschool students need to be 4 years old by July 1st and Kindergarteners need to be 5 years old by the same date. Please stop by the front office for a tour, ask questions, and pick up an application for registration.
