My students are doing great!  They are all becoming very aware of the expectations of the classroom.  They are hardworking and strive to do their best work.  We are now on lesson 64 in our reading lessons.  The kids are learning blends and new sight words.  They have all improved greatly in their reading.  This, in turn, is helping in their writing.  I love to go around and see what the kids are writing about.  They all have so much to share.  They are also reading with more fluency.  In math we are measuring, and they love it.  They go around the classroom looking for different objects to measure.  We played a game where the students had to find two different ways to measure the objects.  We are starting to learn about money, and every day the kids practice naming the coins and saying how much they are worth.  They are very excited to start counting money.  They also have learned how to count to 100 by 1's, 5's, and 10's.  They love to count by 2's.  We are definitely staying very busy and learning more every day.
