Our elementary school is committed to provide students with a sound curriculum and varied opportunities to learn and grow.  Currently, we use the McGraw-Hill series to support our language program; and the Saxon Math as our primary resource for math.  New this 2010-2011 school year is the use of the NWEA MAP test given to all students in the fall, winter, and spring.  Through the MAP test we will be able to evaluate every student’s progress in Reading, Language, Math, and Science skills.  Kindergarten through 3rd will also use the DIBELS assessment for reading.   In addition, our students take the Star reading test which indicates an appropriate independent reading level for the Accelerated Reading program.  Our students are also challenged in math as they complete Accelerated Math objectives. 

The district preschool runs alongside our regular school system.  Two sessions are offered daily.  We use the newly adopted “Teaching Strategies GOLD” system that is a dynamic preschool curriculum and assessment program.
