Parent Institute

The 10th Annual San Luis Valley Parent Institute is scheduled for Saturday, November 12th in the ASC Student Union Building from 8:30-2:30 p.m.  Parents of children pre-kindergarten through grade 12 are encouraged to attend. The theme for this year is, "Healthy Parents, Health Families," and will feature former professional football player Jermaine Stafford.  Jermaine has trained hundreds of parents and youth educators in how to engage youth to make healthier choices.  In addition, several local professionals will provide workshops on positive parenting, Love & Logic parenting, healthy eating, bullying prevention, drug and alcohol education, and gang prevention.  The day will include a breakfast and lunch, and numerous door prizes will be given out.  The cost is $10 if pre-registered and $15 at the door. Sanford School District may have some pre-paid tickets.  Call the front office at 274-5167 to find out.  All other inquiries should be directed to:
