Elementary Principal's Message

Elementary_1compressed

This is a wonderful time of the year. Christmas songs fill the halls as we prepare for this year‘s Operetta. May we all have a safe and happy holiday!

The school year is flying by, and we are at the halfway mark. We will be NWEA testing January 16th – 26th.

It is important that your child be in at-tendance on these days and ready to test. This is a mid-point check to see how our students are progressing. The test results have an impact on what we need to concentrate on for the next few months of school. Your child‘s results will be sent home the following week. If you have any questions, please talk with your child‘s classroom teacher.

As basketball season begins, I would like to stress the importance of proper supervision of children at games and other school activities. For the safety of your child/children and being respectful of others who are attending these events, it is reasonable to ask that parents with elementary age children or younger have these children sit with them. Children should not be left unat-tended or allowed to play unsupervised. Children will not be allowed to play and roam in the concessions area and hallways without a parent present. Likewise, children should sit with parents in the bleachers. Large groups of unsuper-vised children in the bleachers can be distracting and cause a problem for those around them who are there to enjoy the event undisturbed. Your help in this matter is greatly appreciated.

Again, have a wonderful Christmas Break and a very happy New Year!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Luella Crowther
