FCCLA members, Kelly Crowther, Michelle Crowther, and Paige McDaniel will be doing a "Walk Across America" project the week of Jan. 24th – 27th. They will be providing students with pedometers for the week. These are borrowed from the "nutrition unit ladies" and need to be returned so they can use them for lesson in a few months. Because they are borrowed, students need to take them off before they go home and record the number of steps for the day. Then, students put them back on again the next morning. On Thursday (27th) at 3:00 they will have a walking activity for all participating classes. They will have a route planned out and booths at certain points that represent different states, as if walking across America. Fruit samples will be given at the booths to represent that state.
