GREEN OUT!!!

On February 10, 2012, Sanford High School battled against Centauri High School in the annual “Toilet Bowl.” Both sides decked out in their best school colors supporting the “Green vs. Red Out.” The competition was one for the record books! If one were to walk into the gym that night, he would have been greeted by a sea of red on the visitor’s side and an even bigger sea of green on the home side. It almost looked like a Christmas battle with a basketball game going on in-between. The Sanford High School gym was no less spectacular than her fans. Everything from posters drawn by the students to big signs supporting the Indians filled the gym and only added to the already exciting atmosphere. During the half-time of the varsity boys’ game, two Sanford fans were chosen as, “The Best Dressed in Green.” The two winners were Brady Blinzinger and Lauren Canty. The two were awarded candy prizes and applauded for their support of their Sanford Indians. The icing on the cake was the victories over the Falcon’s that night. Go BIG Green!
